At the Richard Blanc bakery, a job well done on the food and English descpription...156 viewsNear my office is a nice French-style bakery, Richard Blanc. Good bread and other baked snacks, such as this one, Smoked Chicken Panini. "Hsun ji pa ni ni", which means, well, "smoked chicken panini". Fair enough.

...but this one is definitely 'lost in translation'.178 viewsThe characters, from right to left are basically saying, "teng kao", which means charcoal roasted, "Mo Hsi Ge", which is "Mexico" and "hsun ji", which is "smoked chicken". I guess either the company was having fun with it or just really did not know how to translate it. My guess is the latter as all the others were honest attempts at English translations. And no, I did not eat it. I sort of felt sorry for Mexico after that one.

Daniel with his cousin Teddy193 viewsIf we did not know this was a farm in Jinshan, Taiwan, one could also guess it was in Mississippi, as Daniel is both wearing the state costume (t-shirt, cutoff jeans and sandals) and drinking the state beverage (a can of Coke).
