Middle Eastern homes in Toucheng20 viewsTo this day, we have not heard of anyone who knows the true story behind these houses (a Japanese-style home is also on the complex). Some say the owner was a Taiwanese who made a lot of money trading in the Middle East or Southeast Asia. Others say someone built them as a possible museum. In any case, they are indeed beautiful and can be see by train when traveling on the East Coast line.
